Formed after the 2024 election, Minnesota Music Resistance (MMR) is uniting musicians who believe in the power of music as activism. Founded by artists passionate about both creative expression and political change, MMR aims to connect communities and push back against authoritarianism through live performances and organizing. For founding member Claire Luger, the mission is personal—drawing from her experience living under an authoritarian regime abroad.

New Amphitheater to Be Built in Minneapolis!

Minneapolis approved funding for an 8,000-seat outdoor amphitheater on the north Minneapolis riverfront. Set to open in 2027, the project aims to reconnect northside residents with the river, bring jobs, and support community development through ticket revenue. In addition to the music venue, the site will feature a 20-acre park, a health center, and mixed-income housing.
