Powderhorn Art Fair, National Night Out, and Summer Festivals!
Your guide to supporting local, taking time offline, and getting out into our REAL community.
South Minneapolis’ Premier Art Celebration Since 1964SOMI ART FAIRThe SoMi Art Fair, formerly known as the Uptown Art Fair, is a reimagined celebration of art in South Minneapolis. Held August 2–3, 2025, the event takes place in the parking lot of Bachman’s flagship store on Lyndale Avenue, offering a new setting for this beloved Twin Cities tradition. Featuring hundreds of artists, the fair showcases a wide range of work from painting and sculpture to ceramics, photography, and mixed media. Visitors can also enjoy live music, art demonstrations, and diverse food options throughout the weekend. The move from Uptown was prompted by Hennepin Avenue construction, and the success of the 2024 relocation cemented the fair’s new identity as SoMi. | ![]() |
